“This tranquil garden in the foothills of the Pennines offers spectacular views across the Eden Valley. Acorn Bank Garden is renowned for having the North of England's largest collection of culinary and medicinal plants. It can be found within Acorn Bank Estate, home to Temple Sowerby Manor, which was once the local base for the Knights Templar. The fine red sandstone house at Acorn Bank has recently undergone renovation. The west wing has been converted into holiday flats, and there is a National Trust tea-room and shop with interesting plants for sale. Adjacent to the Manor, the garden has been planted with 250 varieties of herb. Nearby, two walled orchards grow a range of rare, traditional, and regional fruit trees. At the end of the drive, and not easily missed due to its height and girth, can be found a giant sequoia (a species of redwood). This was planted soon after the tree's introduction from the New World. Outside the walls, a gentle, circular footpath wanders through wild gardens and woods to Crowdundle Beck and a partially restored watermill. In spring, daffodils and wood anemones flower profusely in the wild gardens. Acorn Bank Mill has been restored by The National Trust, and is open to visitors. ”

“Thanks very much for your help. Gone out and got a 1Gb card and all is now loaded. One way of rating a company is the back up support and you score 10/10 .”
Graham, London

“The content is good and the level of detail about right, enough to pique your interest but not so much that you feel you're attending a lecture.”
Sam, Manchester
